I love the color in the rocks, a very desolate place.

Hi Don, This is a great little bay on the Dingle peninsula in Kerry. Look's calm here, but it's a great place to shoot waves crashing in from the atlantic during winter storms. At the mouth of the bay is Inistookert, also called the 'dead man' because it's profile resembles a dead man in the water! It's part of the famous Blasket Islands, For centuries the inhabitants survived largely on fishing these dangerous waters, though largely illiterate they had a very rich oral tradition in storytelling . There transcripts & writings have a special place in Irish literature. The islands were abandoned by it's people in the 1930's, moving to the nearby mainland. The main island still has remains of these ghost villages, which can be visited by tourists in the summer. Its a really beautiful part of Ireland!
