To all who like this picture: this was taken last September (07) whilst on holiday at a place called the 'The Somerset Levels'. This is a tranquil area, quite flat countryside with many waterways such as those shown here. This picture of course, is made by the swans and their obvious interest in something in the water, food? It just shows that it is always wise to have your camera with you. Enjoy. Herb 08

A very clever exposure to get the detail, not to mention the composition and the usual wonderful colours. Cheers from Rome, Luka

Hi Lorraine, and welcome to my gallery. It's really nice that you took the trouble to look through loads of pictures before getting to this one. Yes, this is a calendar style picture and it still looks good to me now 18 months after I took it. See you some more! Herb

Herb Riddle on January 14, 2009

Ulrich I am happy that you like this. No, i did not pay nor entice the swans in any way. they must have all decided to get 'AbendBrot' at the same time? Thanks for your visit, please call again. Herbert

Hi Herb again. This photo reminds me of my youth. I used to spend a lot of time on my bike in that area back in the 50's and 60's. It is also an interesting picture. That area has change little over the years. All the best john.

Herb Riddle on July 4, 2012

Glad to rekindle past memories John. A timeless spot, I reckon. Glad you like it.

Cheers, Herb
