It was bitter Jim but well worth the trip, I collected a stack of images similar to this and some great shots of sheep in the snow too ( see ephotozine ) so it was worth braving the cold for.

If you zoom out just one step Mick you will see it is fairly desolate being close to Tan Hill ( noted as being the highest pub in England ) but not so far away from civilisation as it appears.
