Jammer.

A.Lebacq, on April 12, said:

Hello Arthur! It is sad to see how here a nice natural landscape is destroyed! Such a thing should be forbidden! Many greetings, Günter

Proficiat Arthur.

I am really sorry and very upset, Arthur. What have they left behind? Desolation. It will take many years to heal the land they wounded. I simply cannot believe it happened.

Arthur, perhaps I missed it in the ransaltions, but what exactly happened to this beautiful landscape?

Nicolas Mertens, on April 12, said:

Great work! I could see this as a Tangerine Dream album cover. But, like Hank, I wonder what happened here.

A.Lebacq, on April 12, said:

Günter, picsonthemove, Jacques, Inessa, Hank, Nicolas thank you all for comments an reactions .Yes indeed a very sad story ,i was really shocked when a saw this chaos. Why have they done this ?...i don't know ,i try to find out why .One thing is certain...i lost one of my favorite places.

Greetings Arthur

Fantastische demonstratie Arthur. Groeten Luud

A.Lebacq, on April 13, said:

Groeten, Wim

erik van den Ham, on April 13, said:

Groeten, uaf

Good work Arthur! This kind of positive accusation should happen more often, in order to awake public consciousness. It's enough when this cases result from natural catastrophes. Golden star for that reason, for the creative solution and for the 2 great photos (1 memory + 1 disaster). Greetings, Carlos

Wonderful images, and very special collage that is a powerful comment on landscape vandalism. Photographers can make a very special contribution to social activism and to empowering those who seek to build a highly principled society.

The efforts to protect and save wilderness in my country could never have been successful without the skill of courageous photographers.

Great, Arthur.

This really makes me mad! But, alas, the cost of progress is usually the downfall of nature and beauty. It doesn't have to be so...but it allmost invariably is! I am sad for you Arthur. At least you have recorded the beauty as it once was. Well done.

Sue Allen, on August 10, said:

There was a place of calm Beside the river’s glassy depths Where in silence and reflective calm My soul filled with respect

Stately columns lined the banks, The lofty boles of trees, Whose beauty and magnificence Could bring me to my knees.

Branches soared above my head, And in the summer heat, They intertwined with foliage born From roots beneath my feet.

But now the place which I describe With reverence and wonder, Is torn to shreds, its’ soul has died. Its’ beauty cast asunder...

I cannot bear to walk along This path of desolation The trees are gone.. Their stature lost.. In tragic devastation.......

Such a sad photo. I had to write this. I hope you don't mind. It nearly brought me to tears. I don't know how you can bare to see it ripped to pieces like that. It would make you choke.

Kind regards, Sue (Wonderful piece of photographer's genius, of course, but very very sad!)

AXOTA, on August 14, said:

Touching words Sue

This looks like corporate vandalism on a huge scale, have they no conscience??

I too am agry at the sight of this desolation.

This could not happen in the UK. Trees can only be felled in extreme cicumstaces unless they are grown exclusively for cropping. Thankfully, we have strict town and country planning laws which prevents this assault on nature.---Jim
