Here is particular monuments of the Leon country, north western part of Brittany. Those giant menhirs have been polished with stone hammers and ar more than 6000 years old.

The highest (still standing) prehistoric stone in Western Europe is the Menhir of Kerloas (9.50 meters and 100 tons). Hundreds of persons had to work together to erect this giant.

The destination of those stones is unknown: border sign, road sign ? They do not seem to indicate any astronomic position.
