Hi Tom, Yes, a deerfly was crossing over my lens. I am happy that you noticed it.I love state game areas but usually have many deerflies, mosquitoes and ticks there. This photo was taken by full protection with long sleeve shirts, long pants, gloves and a hood in a hot summer day.

Deerflies are small...unless one is landing on your lens, or biting you. :(

I also enjoy wildlife areas, and even started the Panoramio group Minnesota Wildlife Management Areas in order to encourage more people to visit and photograph them.

I stay away during deer season, though.

Hi Tom, I love wildlife areas, too. I am not afraid bug bites in summer and drop into icy marshes in winter, and always visit there.
