I can tell you are a railway enthusiast and judging by the number of rail photos you've mentioned in my gallery, you've made me realise I'm drawn to photographing old railway scenes too!
It's sad the we lost a lot of railway lines in the 1960's when Lord Beeching closed many rural runs throughout the country. So many scenic routes are now lost to passenger travel. At least many of the large bridges still remain and are looked after.
Thank you for all your kind comments about my gallery. Since you made me realise the number of railway related photos I will make a tag just for railways!
I think you have a great gallery on abandoned railway lines - well done!
