Hi Ian, it's not a bad town is it? when were you here last? We have been on the M62 past Ainley Top many times, the areas around Barkisland, Rishworth and Ripponden are very nice...Anita
It took me a while to match this image against GE image to the right, for I was using a 300mm telephoto. But I have found the pylons and the particular fields in the foreground. They are located down slope from Brookfoot and close to Chevinedge.
Yes, I like the Barkisland - Ripponden area with all the drystone walls and green fields. I have a few images from over that vicinity, lit by the afternoon sun which I will share here, but I am still working out exactly where I was, for on that day I wasn't driving, and as a passenger one tends to let the fields roll by. But with your help I may be able to identify them precisely.
Enjoy your spring!
I have uploaded a few more for you. But can you help me locate two taken in Skipton - I don't want the folk outside an inappropriate shop or in someone else lounge room. I suspect you know Skipton very well.

Hi Ian Stehbens, Great pic of West Yorkshire, I love this place and visited here many time. Bolton Castle is my favourite place to see.
Greetings from Toronto
I too love West Yorkshire, summer or winter. I delight in the amazing mix of industrial architecture and rural fields, of drystone walls and sandstone buildings, of the bold and the gentle.
