These are also flowers that I love Erik. Again I have the white form of Fritllaria meleagris, but I prefer the darker one, with the wonderful checkerboard markings.

The white are quite common and occur frequently in wild populations too. It's a wonderful bulb but it's a true delight for mice. I once planted 1000 bulbs wich were almost all eaten overnight.

A big problem Erik, but there are many people with cats where we live in England. I won't say 'Thank goodness', because they also take our little birds too. ;(
