I'ld rather tought it looked like the Northern french or Belgium style house. But indeed, the way the woods that build the basic structure of that house are set is very typical to our region (here in Alsace, eastern France, we have a lot of german-alike architecture).
Althought the half-timbered building technique have come to Brazil with the german immigration, here they just had to use the country materials , and also the weather and the needs of the new way of life are different of the original.
