Very interesting musicians, dear Yan, and musical instruments I do not know absolutely! How do they sound? Best wishes. Eva

As I recall, these two men who were delightful conversationalists were playing instruments from Sierra Leone. They requested a copy of this photo and it was emailed to them for which they were grateful.
As buskers and as musicians they did very well. I understand that their busking took them on a circuit, playing in various towns at peak times. That day was market day in Sheep and High Streets, Skipton.
Thankyou Eva and Anita for your intertest, assistance and visit.
Fond greetings,
Ian

At the time I was told their name, and I certainly enjoyed the melodic sounds, but I am hoping someone who visits this image will know more about these instruments. Thanks for your visit, Juan.

HI Alfred! Thanks for your friendly visit too. They were very amicable and we had a good chat, but it is a couple of years ago now, and I cannot remember the name of the instrument, but it sounded very special and melodic.
Thanks for your visit.

Wandering Minstrels redolent of times past Ian.
One does not always picture the sight of our African friends fulfilling this role, particularly in Yorkshire. They look happy and I can easily imagine the joy they brought to the local scene.
By the way Ian, I like the photo.

Hi Jim,
I was delighted to take their picture, but it surprised me that they wanted a copy, for I anticipated that they had been photographed hundreds of times. And I have since tried using the www to find out what these instruments are called but haven't been clever enough yet.
Thanks for your visit and comment. Ian
