But.. you did it in Photoshop not this infrared film??
macmillan, of course! This is not a real color. The picture was taken with an infrared filter. It means that all color spectrum that we can see with our eyes was filtered out. Instead, the camera CCD recorded reflected infrared energy from the scene. That information has to be post processed to get some interesting results. In reality, the church has a blue roof, which is so typical for Greece!
All I can do is add to the chorus of approval for this stunning photo. Well done. It proves that the art of photography is more than clicking a button....

Lukas. This is my favorite of all of your fantantic photos ( also love Santorini). Let me tell you that I decided to try IR after seen your photos. I have been wondering how you get this golden cast in some of your infrared photos.
The "golden" colors with blue skies are achieved through a channel mixer. You swap the red and the blue channel. (red output channel: red color 100% -> 0% and blue color 0% -> 100% then the same with the blue output channel: blue color 100% -> 0% and red color 0% -> 100%) After that it is a balance between the saturation levels and noise! Not every shot swaps nicely, and so don't let it discourage you.
