Blenheim Flax mill layout

Not selected for Google Earth or Google Maps [?]

This pic is off Google earth and shows the site in 2003 (use the time slider IN GOOGLE EARTH) to see what it looks like now.

All the other [clearly scanned] photographs were given to me by Mark & Louise Brownie of Blenheim who bought the mill site and buildings from the NZ Ministry of Works in about 1985 (I think) It had been a Works Depot for MOWD since destablishing as a flax mill. Mark gradually demolished all the buildings on the property except the extant cottages which he "did up" and rented out until a new residential subdivision on that land was approved. The site is now mainly occupied by a DIY Big Box store but the bulk of the land which was used for drying the crop is in recreational reserve.
