waw wish i were there....^^ kawai desu!

ANDRE GARDELLA on March 12, 2007

Less than three hours from Shinjuku is Matsumoto city. From there take a local train to Hakuba. If you sit on the left side of the coach, you will able to enjoy not only the three lakes but also the magnificient mountains of Hakuba. Bon voyage!

Merci Elizabete Rusca pour ce commentaire et vos compliments.

Therefore far, but therefore similar:

Loch Ness

Nice light, nice shot!

ANDRE GARDELLA on June 13, 2007

Thanks for the comments, Marco Ferrari. There is no swimming or diving monster in this lake but the legend says that there is a hole deep inside this lake that connect it to the Japan Sea, located 40 km away. The photo Loch Ness taken by Giovanni Mirgovi is also very beautiful, particularly the clouds.

Excellent picture, Nice Landscape. Congratulations André.

ANDRE GARDELLA on July 5, 2007

Thank you Orlando Leiva for your nice words. This is a beautiful part of Japan that is not known to most of the tourists coming from abroad.

Thanks again sadogashima for your most interesting and educative post. It is true: Lake Suwa was may be in the past one of the clearest lake of Japan but it is not any more so today. Aokiko still manages to keep the clarity it had for decades. I do hope it will stay that way for generations to come.

Breathtaking nature photo, wonderful view ANDRE , greetings from Macedonia

ANDRE GARDELLA on November 8, 2008

Thanks again, Ahmet. Yes, Mother Nature is the creator and the artist. We are just passing by and lucky spectators.

Greetings from a lake far into the mountains of the East.

wowwww incredible composition one more time i like very much this 2 pics that i see from your gallery

ANDRE GARDELLA on November 30, 2008

I am very glad you like that pic Marcosaon. This landscape is only twenty kilometers away from the Matsumoto Black Castle. It has inspired a Brazilian painter-photographer Elizabete Rusca as you can here see in this photo of her painting of Lake Aoki.

It is nice to know people enjoy so much your work.

Thanks again from the Land of the Rising Sun to the Spanish Region of the Setting Sun.
