Sakurajima Erupting as viewed from Kirishima NP

While hiking over to Shinmoedake, before it erupted in 2011, I felt a super low vibration boom in my sternum before hearing anything. Turning to the south, the dark cloud of an explosion rising out of Sakurajima was seen.

This is Sakurajima but the placemark is on Shinmoedake. Sakurajima is about 25 miles South South East in the bay.

In Panoramio, you put the placement on "where" the picture was taken and not the subject! I was hiking to Shinmoedake when I took the picture.
