This photo was taken in April 2008 between Cwm Llwch farm and Corn Du and Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons. The path is probably the one taken by Tommy Jones, the 5 year old from Maerdy in the Rhonnda valley, who was lost on the Mountain in August 1900. More information can be found on wikipedia and in Brecon Museum.

The Becon Beacons are used by the army for training and selection of new recruites. Pen y Fan is the highest mountain in Britain south of the Snowdonia range. It is regarded by many as the most dangerous mountain in Wales because of the rapidly changing weather conditions. This photograph was taken in April 2008, and there is still signs of snow and ice on the summits.
