Concarneau (Konk Kerne in Breton) is a commune of the Finistère département, in France. The medieval Ville Close is a walled town on a long island in the centre of the harbour. The Ville Close separates the working port from the yacht basin. The Ville Close is connected to the town by a draw bridge and at the other end a ferry to the village of Lanriec on the other side of the harbour.

Marée Haute. Le coeur médiéval de la ville de Concarneau est la ville close. Cette cité fortifiée est construite sur une île au miliue du port. Elle sépare le port de pêche du port de plaisance. La ville close est reliée au centre ville par un pont levis du côté ouest et au quartier de Lanriec par un bac .
