tranks foxx for your commments!!!!i like this one!!!greeting from Spain
Thanks, Glorieta. Cathedral Caverns supposedly holds six world records, although no organization currently keeps any statistics on speleologic features including the Guiness Book of World Records. Three may be true...the largest stalagmite, largest flow stone wall and an improbable formation. The other three are controversial, especially the size of the cave entrance. Some of these are most likely "self proclaimed" as a ways of atrracting more visitors to Cathedral Caverns. Despite these issues, the cave overall is still pretty grand and well worth a look.
This one is beautiful too...Paty
Thanks. :0) I also have some photos from Howe Caverns in Upstate New York, but they're not as nice as these...so I left them off.
Hi Foxx Trotter:
Do you like the horses? I suppose this is for your nick name...
My husband is in New York at the moment and now I´m going to send an e-mail for telling him about Howe Caverns, could be a nice walk. Your photos are really nice. Greetings, Patty.
Yeah, I like horses. :0) I haven't had a chance to look at your photos yet, as I'm at work right now. Howe Caverns is located near the village of Cobleskill in the Catskill Mountain region of the state. Secret Caverns is also located nearby, but it's not as impressive. There is a 1/4 mile boat ride through a section of Howe Caverns, and they are in the process of expansion. I'm not sure how long that's gonna be though. Below is a link to their website...
I'm originally from Upstate New York, but live in North Carolina now. At least there isn't as much snow down here. ;0P Later, luv.
By the way, Foxx Trotter is more of a travel name and related to the vulpine, not an equus. One has to be clever in finding the best of scapes. ;0)
nice photo Foxx :o)
You have reason, but when I told to my husband about Howe Caverns, he said to me that it was far away of his meeting and he hadn't time for the moment. I think it could be in the next travel to USA. Greetings, Paty.
very nice shot. I grew up on the farmland that immediately surrounds Cathedral Caverns. The state purchased the family farm to convert to a state park. I recall exploring the cave while a youngster. I am semi retired and still do some free lance writing. I am going, "back home" to Cathedral to do a photo essay for regional newspaper in the next couple of months. This really brings back memories.

Thanks! :0) That is the only time I've been to Cathedral Caverns. I'm hoping to get by Linville Caverns in my state eventually. I've been pretty busy lately though.
hello, this picture is great!how could you take it?ı'm from turkey
Cathedral Caverns is a commercial venue and open to the public. They put lights in there for better viewing during the tour. There is little need for flashlights in the caverns.
