The first building at the left is the lower part of Western Cape Provincial Building (Provinsiale Gebou) designed by the architects Frederick McIntosh Glennie (1889-1954) and Jan Zeger Schuurmans Stekhoven (1895-1956). The third building at the left is designed by R&L Architects (35 Wale Street corner Loop Street).
