View east from Shafer Canyon Overlook toward Dead Horse Point and in the distance the La Sal Mountains. This is a four shot panorama, Nikon D200, stitched with Hugin. You can drive down the rather narrow dirt road that hugs the edge of the cliff and it comes out in the town of Moab; or you can do it the other way. I suggest a high clearance vehicle if you try it. Also, a small dirt road forks off this one and wraps all the way around Canyonlands National Park, it is called the White Rim Trail and there's places where you are on sandstone with no road markers at all. Some boulders seem to serve the purpose at times.
