A black and white HDR, I've not seen many of those! The subtle contrast seems to give the eye a bit more room to look around. And yet the great focus gives it enough power. The more I look the more I like :)
Very nice B&W Kevin, I really like that kind of your work....
Very fine human construction. I think it adapts very well to the scenery - especially in this kind of version, and surely at the real place too.
Hello, Jeroen, Radek, and sixten! Thanks for the great comments. This was photographed just after noon and the light was horrible, as were the colors. The HDR route was the only way I could have possibly made anything out of it, and that part worked okay I think. I thought the black and white fit the subject okay, which fixed the bad color problem. But I'm not sure about the toning. There is something here that feels very flat but I can't quite figure it out. I will likely make another run at this one.
L; this monochrome works for me. The title may contain the word flat but the photgraph is far from flat....
Thank you, Peter van Lom. The monochrome version is the only way I would have shred this image - the color version was horid! :)
It's all about the texture. Well done. VANN
Thanks a bunch, Vann - glad you like it!
Perfect and FV!!! – Nothing more to say! Hello from Athens
I think it is a great shot, but I do agree with you that there is something. You think it may be to soft. Maybe edges need to be a little crisp. Love the shot over all though.
