I love this shot. The subtle range of hues in the sky is something the Barbazon school of painters would have loved. Just yesterday I was reviewing a website showing teacher/painter David Dunlop in a demo posted online. You can access his website via his name. After seeing some of the Dunlop movies (I was reviewing one on George Inness) on line and then seeing your photo here, it is interesting to see the connections. Great photos! The format also reminds me of the composition of a fellow artist and friend of mine: Fonny Davidson from Idaho. Some of Fonny's paintings also reflect this elongated composition.
Thanks for the impressions and the connections to artists you are familar with. Unfortunately, I do not know of them. It's interesting that different types of artistic mediums can produce similar effects and styles.
