Groet Erik

try to stalk the grey herons near me but they are always just out of range of my 300mm lens

Erik van den Ham on June 15, 2008

Normally they are for me two. This picture was taken in a suburb of Amsterdam. The herons (and other animals two)are used to having people arround. So they are a little less shy or maybe just too stoned to realize the danger.

Maybe he was just a vegetarian and switched from frog, fish and other small animals to 'smoking' grass.Or he just likes to be 'high' in the sky?

The Grey heron actually looks a lot like the American Great Blue Heron. Love this shot!
