This lighthouse is located on the Valassaaret island in the Vaasa archipelago. It was designed by the same engineering company that designed the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. It was taken into use in 1886 and is situated in what now is the World Nature Heritage are of Kvarken Archipelago (see http://www.kvarken.org and http://whc.unesco.org).
