Beautiful light here, on the seals and the boat. a great catch of the last rays of sunlight when everything else is dark. The only seals I get to see are in a zoo...whether that is good or bad I leave for you to decide.

Thanks, Ryan! well, I know my choice, but seals in a zoo / aquarium can be fun, since they really interact with people (New England Aquarium is across the street from my office, so I can go visit the ones they've got outside there at lunch.) But its amazing to have them just hanging out offshore like this. I don't know of any other rather populated area right around here where they come in so close. When the water s a bit warmer, we kayak out near them. Its pretty funny to have their big bowling ball heads stick up out of the water looking at you from 50 feet away! (They're very curious about people, though they keep their distance. And they clear out between Memorial Day and Labor Day because of all the boats and people.)

And the evening here was really something. Everything you mentioned, plus this off to my right! If only I'd been in a kayak it would have been perfect! But for a quick evening trip to the beach just for the sunset, it was hard to beat!
