Good Morning, Jacques!
Indeed, so often I wish these old places and things from the past could speak to me and tell me all of their dark secrets.
Thank you so much for visiting, and I hope you have a peceful day.

Thank you so much for your visit and interest! :)
I'm so happy that you directed me to your beautiful shots as well. That chimney you found is a PRIZE! Wow! Outstanding indeed!
I love the abandoned farm too. It certainly makes one wonder why they just took off and left it there.
Thank you again very much for your visit tonight.
Best regards,
Mary Alice

Another intriguing chimney stack Mary Alice: what's the story with all these abandoned sites. I am assuming the houses were timber constructions and have burned down or been stripped.
Curious.

Yes, Yes .... they seem to cry out to me! I keep running up on them everywhere that I go.
I have photographs of so many more, but I only post up the good old ones with exceptional character! This one was so wide, it struck me as once belonging to a large house with a big living room.
I really don't know why there are so many around here. I do seek them out, but still, they're not too hard to find. There aren't many where you are?
Well, I'm so happy that you stopped by! I hope you're enjoying your evening.
Best regards,
Mary Alice

A writer from the Civil War? You've chosen a most appropriate title, Mary Alice. I wonder how many of these old treasures around you are from that era - probably many - ? Congrats on another wonderful record! Best, alicia

Nothing that looks like this anyway Mary Alice but I have my eye on a couple of industrial models you might like!
Have a great day,
Sean.

Lovely shot Mary Alice. Its amazing just how many of these stacks remain as monuments to the buildings long gone. :)

Greetings Alicia, Billy, and Sean!
Wonderful to see all of you! :)
Alicia, you are so perceptive about every little thing! Yes, Loula Kendall Rogers is one of my very favorite people from the past that I love to research and learn about. She wrote a beautiful book of poetry from the civil war times. She was from this area, and I'm sure that's why I have such a huge interest in her and her life. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. I'm so glad that you liked her words. I thought they were appropriate for this pretty chimney from so long ago. Thank you so much for you interest, Alicia! You ROCK! :)
Sean, I shall be waiting eagerly to see the industrial models of which you speak! :) Get right on that!!! I'm waiting!
Billy, Yes, this area is RICH with chimneys and beautiful things here and there from the days long past. I'm so happy that you have enjoyed them as well, and thank you very much for stopping by.
Happy Friday to all of you, and thank you again for visiting my gallery!
Best regardss,
Mary Alice

I would love to have this on my property..if it where mine, I would clear a small area around the chimney and make a nice quiet sitting area. How lovely it would be.

I hear you, girl! I would too! Wouldn't it be fantastic? :)
