Massey Hall - 1894, the black & white side of entertainment.

Massey Hall. This back wall may soon disappear, as an much needed addition is planned for this year (2013). Because it was initially meant to serve only as a concert hall, Massey Hall lacks the backstage area, storage and wings found in traditional theatres. No loading dock is available and equipment is therefore hauled through the front door.

This concert hall is loved by performers and it is the Toronto equivalent to N.Y.C. Carnegie Hall.

The stairs are probably fire escape! There is another entrance on the side for the stars. Everybody, who is anybody in the entertainment world, performed here. Inside, not on the steps! ;-)
