And isn't just a motorcylist heaven!!!!!

You have to stop at the cafe on the top....if it's still there and have a coffee and a bacon sandwich before you get back on the bike.

I used to be engaged to a guy who had a cottage in ALston where we used to stay for the weekend....only about 10 minutes from the cafe, but still had to stop there before heading to the Lakes.

This photo was taken from Hartside Cafe's carpark. The cafe may have changed hands a few times since you were last there, but it is going strong.

That's good to hear....I hope they still make those yummy bacon baps.

Pali, I've posted a shot of the cafe for you. It was from my reject pile, but I've played with the contrast and lighting to make it acceptable. Here.

Hi Skida,

I’m writing on behalf TLC Marketing, a Incentives promotional marketing agency. We are currently in the process of producing a campaign for Continental (the leading German automotive manufacturing company specializing in tires) and we are really interested in the possibility of using this image in the creative for our campaign.

If you could get back to me on your consent for us to use your image, it would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards, Callum Chapple Account Executive at TLC Marketing

Hi Callum. I am flattered by your interest in my photo and I was tempted to allow use, but I feel that if a lot of people like myself allow free access to photographs it will (and does) have an adverse effect on the livelihoods of professional photographers. I have the greatest respect for people who have undergone expensive training in order to pursue their chosen career, and I feel I must support them by refusing free use of my photographs. Sorry.

Hi Skida,

Thank you for getting back to me and of course we understand this completely. It would be great if we could come to an agreement for the use of this image. If you could please email me with your terms/cost, that would be brilliant.

My email is: I very much look forward to hearing back from you.

Many thanks, Callum
