This is actually from the road. But we did a half day hike to the summit a few years back. An example of some of the most rugged terrain East of the Mississippi. Thanks Mike

Yes, the terrain in West Virginia is as rugged as it is beautiful....if you get a chance, get up to the Dolly Sods just north of there. Red Creek offers some good day hikes, as does Bear Rocks.

Yes. We went to Dolly Sods 2 years ago during a freak snow storm in October. We want to see it in Late September when the bushes are fiery red. Thanks
