Purmamarca and the Hill of Seven Colors

Purmamarca (town of the virgin land in Quechua) is a 700 inhabitants village in the region of Jujuy. It is situated close to the hill of Seven Colors (Cerro de los Siete Colores) at an altitude of 2200m.
It was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003, increasing the interest of both national and international tourism to the area.
