well, I am South America (Colombian), but, I will not say nothing about politics, and the was with Argentina
but, I have seen a lot of the Islands in internet, I have read a lot about it, and I think that it should be a great place... generally, I have listened that the south cone of South America (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Falkland Islands)... is a very different place... specially in the far-south, well the climate is very cold, and it is full of penguines...
Ushuaia (Argentina), Port Stanley..., Puerto Toro (Chile)...
greetings

LAS ISLAS MALVINAS (FALKLAND ISLANDS) BELONG FOR GEOGRAPHIC AND HISTORICAL REASONS TO ARGENTINA. FIRST OF ALL THEY ARE 400KMS FROM ARGENTINIAN CONTINENTAL TERRITORY, SECOND THEY BELONG TO THE PATAGONIA REGION AND THIRD THEY ARE UNDER ARGENTINA MARITIMAL SPACE. CONCERNING TO HISTORICAL REASONS, FIRST WHERE SPANISH TERRITORIES AND AFTER ARGENTINIAN INDEPENDENCE IN 1816 BECAMED PART OF OUR TERRITORY. IN 1833 UK FORCES INVADED THE ISLANDS EVEN WHEN BUENOS AIRES GOVERMENT FORCED THEM TO GO. WE SUPPORT INVASION MORE THAN 150 YEARS AND IN 1982 WE RECOVERED OUR ISLANDS IN A HEROICAL WAR AGAINST IMPERIAL FORCES. AND WE WILL RUTURN BECAUSE GOD AND HISTROY ARE JUST!! SO MR MEINI DONT MAKE MISTAKES, U MUST KNOW THAT U HAVE BEEN IN ARGENTINA DURING YOUR TRIP TO ISLAS MALVINAS. MALVINAS ARGENTINAS, AYER, HOY SIEMPRE!!!

MR MEINL, THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER. LIKE YOU SAID, I KINDLY ASK YOU TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE PICTURE, INSTEAD OF FALKLANDS UK, SHOULD SAY ISLAS MALVINAS-REPUBLICA ARGENTINA. WE SHOULD GIVE THE WORLD THE CORRECT INFORMATION. THANKS AND HAVE A GOOD DAY

As an anglophone, I might as well side with the British. But the islands are admittedly close to the Argentine mainland. Nonetheless, Britain now has squatters' rights and the locals are British, so the Falkland/Malvina Islands are British. Nonetheless, nice picture.

Brazil is closer to Argentina than the Falklands are. Why don't war mongerers Argentina invade them instead? At least they dont have a seat on the UN security council or a nuclear arsenal - they might actually stand a chance in that fight...
