Hi Joce, would you believe that there was only one more couple wandering around. It was midweek and the school children had just returned back to school after their holidays so we had a wonderful peaceful day. English Heritage owns the castle and holds special day events throughout the summer months, this is when it becomes extremely busy. We fell lucky that day. Anita
Thanks DiggaTwigga, I'm not sure if this castle has been featured in any movies, it may well have been because it's a beautiful castle set in stunning surroundings. The small town of Richmond has a great deal of character, it's well worth a visit:) Regards, Anita

Nice shot Anita, weather was in your favour which is difficult in this country you just have to make the best of it don't you. :0) David...
Beautiful shot Anita I can almost hear the battlenoise! Cheers, Peter
Cheers David, yes, we were fortunate with the weather. If we took any notice of the weather forecast we would never venture out of doors :)
Thank you thorodin, the sound of the armour and swords clashing must have been an awesome noise. Anita
Beautiful shot Anita. How long did you have to wait to have no people in the photo? Regards, Joce

I agree, you were very lucky. There are very few place in the UK that are quiet.
