A Guinness world record holder

I thought I was just photographing a big combine; unbeknown to me this model is in the Guinness Book of Records as it harvested 70 tonnes of wheat per hour for 19 hours. OK so this combine has a smaller cutterbar but looks impressive all the same!

Aye, they've come a long way since the days of the old binders Kenny. I remember riding shotgun on them when i was a lad;-)) The hard work started after cutting, especially stooking Barley, those horns seemed to get everywhere.

Hi Neil

I remember riding on top of a Massey Harris combine shooting hares coming out of the last couple of strips. No air-con cabs in those days, I was as black as a crow from all the dust. Thankfully there was no health and safety in those days to spoil the fun.

Regards

Kenny
