It is a privilege, dear Füsun. I have never been to Turkey, but I have had some special encounters with Turkey through the community in Sydney that has its cultural roots in Turkey. Hence I would dine at Mado Restaurant from time to time.

But through you I have felt much more connected. And never more so than when I am penning poetry as if I am sitting at a window table at the university in Istanbul. Then, when I am travelling on the train from Broken Hill, I am reflecting on the journey of a big red pomegranate whose blood was spilt at Gallipoli.

You have enriched me, !

Thank you.

Ian

...And remember; a red pomegranate in a small black car at Atatürk Airport in Istanbul waits for an incoming passenger from Brisban...

Warm greetings.

..wouldn't that be wonderful!! If I came to Ataturk and there was no small black car, I think I would just have to keep on rolling. But I think the tears would roll first.

Thank you dear .
