This scene typifies what you do best Jim and that is to bring us Whitby's nooks and crannies as seen in the quieter moments free of tourists. Unadultered charm and quaint fascination make this very pleasurable to look at.

Sigh-Beginnings~~~Oh dear! I seem to fall further behind than ever Si ;>)..A lot has happened since you wrote those prophetic words and not all of it has been good for you! I hope Emily is making good progress now that she is home with her loved ones!

crina stanciu~~~Sincere apologies for the delay in answering your friendly comments..The owners of the properties take much pride in preserving many of the original features...This view will have changed little in 250 + years.

♥ MELINDA♥~~~~I'm most grateful for your generalist appraisal Melinda..the Y* means a lot to me..thank you!

samsalt1~~~These old yards and ginnels are so reminiscent of the old town..It is these places that give that special character. It is a pity now that many of them are inaccessible to the public..I feel like an intruder in my own town! but who can blame the owners wanting the same privacy that most of us enjoy!

To you all, I express my sincere thanks for all your great comments, your _likes, Y*'s and for taking the time to stop by_
