Mmmmm, Pretty Picture too David, I like the way you got the glint of sun peeping through, very fitting for the situation. GS ¬Mike

Beautiful shot David. You have taken one here before, I believe. Inspirational place to worship though I guess a little cold in winter.

"I will lift up my eyes to the hills", who couldn't resist that I wonder?

It sure looks like it's in the boondocks, as you folks say, and very pretty they are too.

A great looking place and shot Mr B., cheers, - D.

Symmes Chapel is known locally as Pretty Place Mike - a fitting title I think. The sun-glint was a bonus just by moving up and down the steps (carefully).

I have indeed taken one here before Keith - but I still regard photography like fishing. I will do it in the same place and don't even mind if I catch the same fish again. Each event is so slightly different. I will probably take this shot again (in fact I cannot wait). :-)

It is out of the way David - I had lived locally for 8 or 9 years before I discovered it.

There was less editing in this shot Gyöngyi than you would imagine. It really was a wonderful morning.

Many thanks my friends for a great response to this image. I appreciate the encouragement to keep getting up before breakfast and go out in the world.

Best wishes to y'all - David

It clearly is no miracle why the place has been built. Very strong version, David.

You don't happen to have any closer looks at the scenery? IMO it looks wonderful right now down there also. Or are you too used to that already? Greetings :)

Sixten you are right it is gorgeous scenery and I will NEVER get used to it. This may not be the last version of this photograph you see.

Many thanks Patty I am glad that you like this.

Many thanks folks and warmest greetings from Colorado - David

I've become cynical religion-wise. I do, though, love the look of churches - from the outside. If I had to spend time inside a church it would preferably be something like this. Photo makes the cross a great focal point - but I especially love the 'altar' being a backdrop of mountains. L&F.

Best wishes, Brian.

I'm not at all religious Brian but I really do like coming here at sunrise!!! As I think you understand.

It really really is a great backdrop ain't it?

Many thanks - David
