First: Very beautiful shot! Sorry, I don´t understand much italian, but I think you write about the cultivation of plants for earning oil in places where food would be much more necessary. Is that right?

Thank you, Klaus! I don't write very well into English ...but I try for you ...

The colza it belongs to the group of the oleaginose (oil seed) plants. Spontaneous in Europe and Africa of North-West, one thinks has been growed after that was appreciated the nourishing value of the seed of this weed, often infesting of the fields of cereals. . Probably that the cultivation of the colza as it plants from oil is diffused in the antiquity in the European countries where was not present the olive tree and the poppy. To the end of the Middle Ages, the oil of colza diffusely was employed in the countries of the Europe north for the lighting system. In the '700 Holland was the only country in Europe to cultivate the colza for seed. “.......

I hope that you have understand me ... I have more photos (another place) with this yellow flower ...

Ciao, Ren.
