Awesome shot here! Still using the 55-300?
This is a Townsend's Solitaire, a type of thrush.
Best wishes, Liam
Yep loving the 55-300 when I found out how to use it!
Many many thanks for your help!
Never see'd the like afore but wanta see and hear more!
Sweet little boid what do you sing?
(I looked it up, here play sound at increased volume, da boid musta bin shy!
Jolly nice picture David, thanks fer the learnin'
Its quite a large bird Mike and 'owns' the yard where we sit and sun ourselves when it gets above 7C. He/she comes and attacks the windows and will sit and look into our wee haven.
The best call is this one which I have been playing on my cell phone today and annoying the crap out of our VERY territorial little boid.
Its a tame little (and annoyed now) sweety.
Thanks for looking - David
Beautiful bird ~°~
Beautiful pictures !
I am surprised trikermike didn't call it a spuggy. You are lucky even the sparras are scarce in our garden.
Fabulous photo, David. Wonderful capture and very nice bokeh! Great composition! like
WAY BETTER SOUND! excellent chirrup !
Da boid attackin da windows is perhaps fighting off it's reflection, I'm sure it has no ill feeling toward your windows!!
Neat trick with the cell phone!
Be good now!!
HOW MAN! KENNYMAN!
WEVE NO SEEN A SINGLE SPUGGY SINCE AT LEAST 2 YEARS AGO, shame they all got a long holiday, I miss them!
Glad to hear you're enjoying the 55-300!
I recently upgraded to the Canon T2i + 50mm f/1.8 and 70-300mm IS USM. I'm still in the "learning how to use them" stage! Nice change from the "dinosaur" D70 and POS Sigma 70-300, though!
Well caught Jethro ~~~
Sorry folks but I am waaaayyy behind due to travels and lack of Internet...
Thank you so much Gyongyi
Mike knows better Kenny and sorry to hear about your boids!
Thanks Mike - I have a bad mischief streak, you know that!
Liam - find the sweet spot of the 55 to 300 and you'll be able to do anything at all that you want with that lens.
Thank you Nick Weall
Best wishes David (Back in Raleigh but without Internet)
