The light is excellent! Lake is splendid too :-)
I was very busy in my office that day, but seeing the sun in the west, I thought I'd take the camera for a walk and see what might benefit from some golden side lighting. And this was one of them. It is only 400M from where I live in the middle of the big city of Sydney. Isn't it wonderful that there is still open space so that the city still has "lungs" or "gills"!
It's incredible, that so pure terrain lies only 400M from a big Sydney! You're lucky guy, you live in such a beautiful country...
Beautiful shot in the golden light Ian,great light, form and reflections ,Cheers Craig :)
Thanks Craig. I don't know if you are having a similar experience to me, but I always appreciated much beauty in the world and in the landscapes of our island continent, but Panoramio is making me see much more of it than before.
And Rafal, this is not only just a short walk from my house, but it is right in the centre of the city of Sydney - once the water supply for the woollen mills of Parramatta, but now an area for picnickers, walkers, wedding photoshoots, and the like.
I agree Ian , making/finding the time to indulge my photographic interests,is the challenge, with a rapidly growing, active young family,Cheers Craig :)
A good picture turned out, Yan! Sunsets create unique colours sometimes. Best wishes. Eva
This small lake near our home is right in the middle of our city, and the fish caught here can be eaten, and it is permissible to swim here as well.
The air is usually clean and there is no radiation. It is precious to have this quality of environment to live in. Knowing you as a very special friend intensifies my sadness when I think about what Chernobyl has meant for the Dnepr and Kiev.
Thankyou for your affirmation. Best wishes, dear Eva.
Beatiful side e great shot Ian. Ciao Marcello
Gracias Marcello. It is a very pleasant place to walk in the afternoon. (But what you cannot hear is the traffic on the main road not far away.)
