Mackenzie has changed and grown one hell of a lot since I was there in 1969. Back then, the largest structure I can remember was the Coca Cola sign. I kid you not.
I have many happy memories of the place as well as memorable times in Georgetown, but this is the wrong forum to discuss those events.

Hi Ned, I left Linden, then MacKezie in 1969, since then I went back many times. I also have many good memories of Linden, I grew there and was the owner of Lam's Photo Studio. Thanks for your comment.

Hi Lynton Lam, I left Watooka, Mackenzie, in 1966. My dad, Laurie Ho,worked for Demba and we lived in Watooka, just over the road from the 'bank boys' bunglow. Was Lams Photo studio about in the early 60's as the name rings a bell. The bridge was constructed near were Walter Chee-a-Tow lived, my Uncle, and as kids, we played along the river bank where the bridge now stands.

In the not too distant future it will be bauxite to beer can blanks. Capital pursues cheap labor, and shipping a more valuable product makes better use of the container.
