Beside the RNLI shop on the Barbican. Plymouth 2008.
The inscription reads "Stella Maris - The Star of the Sea. The Virgin. The Patron Saint of all Mariners. Sea-worn Madonna from a lost cargo of marble.
"Incredible" shot! For me there is something strong and heretic in it. The blue of the non-window is from outer space - it makes it looking like a giant bullet flying to heaven. A very strong picture!
Nicely done, Mark.
Thanks, KKT and George - my dad was in the merchant navy so the statue has special meaning to me.
Beautiful!! Strong and heretic...like said above!
