It would be a beatiful monument if the airplane is not a war instrument! _Luigi-

This monument has total different meaning. Rudolf Perešin was a pilot in army when the war in Croatia started. He escaped with this plane in Austria from the army because he didn't want to shot on his people. After that he returned to Croatia and helped to defend it from serbian agression. Agressor knocked down his plane when he fought. He is national hero and symbol of resistance to serbian agressor in Croatia. Thank you for comments and visit Luigi! I'm glad you like watching my pictures!

Greetings from Croatia! Marcel

Marcel, Heroes are very important. But I think it would be better, as Bertold Brecht said: "Blessed is that country which do not need heroes !"

Greetings, Luigi

Thank you Matteo! Few days ago was anniversary of his death. In Gornja Stubica people organized small celebration. When his plane was knocked Serbians cought him and then after few days of torture killed him.

Bok, Marcel!

Luigi, you're right, country which do not need heroes is really blessed. Unfortunately Croatia wasn't so lucky.

Greetings! Marcel
