Hi Pete, This is a favourite spot for me. Pity there isn't a pub on the Chatsworth estate. I know there are a few close by. I have a similar shot to this as well as the one of the viaduct. A lot of times I come here, the weather goes from cloudy bright to cloudy miserable and I get to thinking "why did I bother?". PS Nice shot in good light.

This is inaccurately titled. It is Monsal Dale not Cressbrook Dale.
The Stables, which is less than a 100 yards from where the pic was taken, has an excellent, but expensive pint.

When stood at Monsal Head you are at the "head" (top of) Monsal Dale. This view is looking up a dale from the bottom although from a high vantage point, Monsal Head. The farm house in the picture is actually in “Upperdale” and I believe is named “Neatherdale Farm” ??? The pictures you refer to are for the tourists.
