Admiral Lord Nelson led his small fleet on this ship , when they completely destroyed a joint Spanish and French fleet over twice its size by use of brilliant tactics at Cape Trafalgar. Nelson was no "Duke of Plaza de Toro" he died on the deck directing the battle and he had lost an eye and an arm in previous engagements.
