Arahthos River

The Arahthos is the eighth largest river in Greece . Its length is 110 km. Stems from northern Pindos and flows into Ambrakiko bay. Flowing through a section of Ioannina and the entire prefecture of Arta.

The Arahthos famous for its great arched bridges connecting the banks, such as the bridge of Arta and the bridge of Plaka. The bridge of Plaka is arched opening to his room 40 meters and a height of 19 meters is considered the largest arch bridge in the Balkans . Located near the village Pramanda and was completed in 1866.
