Legends say that injured fish come to this 140 foot deep sink in the Weeki Wachee river to seek its mystical healing powers about a mile from the Gulf of Mexico on Florida's west coast.
This isn't Hospital Hole. It's the beach at the Christian Camp. Hospital Hole is down river just a short distance.
Some fool also cut down that beautiful palm tree overhanging the water.
The location for the Hospital Hole picture placement as of 12/29/08 is correct as Hospital hole is located at just about: 28°31'49.94"N 82°37'23.84"W. I don't recognize the immediate area as being hospital hole though but it may depend on angle as I always had arrived via Roger's Park just downstream.
