1084 m to the sea level! My two kids are looking down - not afraid at all :-)

The landscape is uniq really, however I have two kids too, but I am not equiped with so good nerves! :-) Brave photo.

Ps.: How far is this site by car from an international airport (linked with Hungary)?

Thanks for your comment BAROSI, Mihaly!

The nearest airport is Stavager Sola . There is about 45 min by car to Høle. From Høle you take a car-ferry to the bottom of Lysefjorden (Lysebotn). The ferry takes about one hour. Then 15 min by car before you start on a hike to the top of Kjerag were this pictures is taken (the hike takes about 2 hour). If you are planning to take this trip (I recommend it!) you must also visit Preikestolen in the same area (nearby Høle). See a photo from Preikestolen in this photo album )

I made some scenario about traveling to see Norway fjordland... However, to fly and car hiring is expensive with two kids.

To drive there is more then one and a half day without any break.

BUT! We have a jorney plan that we hope we can try in real life in the near future... This is about to take a direct ferry from Hirtshals, Danmark to Stavager with overnight sleeping with a break at Nürnberg, Germany.

We saw many ferries along the coastal road from Stavager to north. Ferries are very slow and rare in central Europe. What is the real travel time from Stavager to your city by car, and what is the ferry coast on a trip like this?

Wonderful shot, Svein-Magne, a perfect composition and a gorgeous landscape!

Greetings and best regards from Chile.

P.S. The difference between here and your web page is that here I can comment each picture separately... :) and I know how Panoramio works, but in your beautiful page I feel myself a little lost :)

Thank you Ervin!

I am not good enough in web design to make a comment function on my own photo gallery so the only way to comment each photo is on Panoramio.

Thanks again for your comment!

I am sorry to tell you that you are wrong kangooman. I have been both at Kjerag and Prekestolen - and this is Kjerag.
