In Scotland there is not many 2 car families. so I assumed that you were being a very caring wife and helping out your husband, sorry for my mistake. Not that my wife is any different from Amelia, she actually vowed to obey when we got married, but I think someone will have to have a word with her when she reaches the Pearly Gate! regards scally. Nice big car do you not think you should clear off the snow?

Theolfa on October 21, 2009

Hi, Scally! We have 3 cars, and my Jeep is comparatively small, but fits me perfectly as I am not quite 5ft tall. My husband keeps them all in wonderful condition, with regular cleaning and polishing, and in return I do the washing and ironing, fair exchange is no robbery. As to Mrs. Scally, when she reaches the PGs, you'll be there and make her welcome ;D

Harry Taggart on October 22, 2009

I thought I was hard done to, but your poor guy 3 cars to keep clean in all that snow and salted roads! Did you vow to obey, like Amelia and my wife? if not you are quite entitled to claim equality. and have no fears in asking Peter for a good table. My wife now claims she had her fingers crossed, and it didn,t count, but Amelia says she will tell him to "Shut That Door", LOL cheers scally

Scally, my poor guy , drives to the carwash and listens to the radio while the machines wash the car, and twice a year he pays for the cars to be professionally cleaned, inside and out. Whereas I have work cut out with many full laundry baskets, Whites, coloureds, darks, towels, bedlinens, up & down two flights of stairs, and then all the ironing while he watches golf! I never thought about tables or chairs in heaven, I was anticipating harp lessons while lounging on a cloud ;D Theolfa

I am a different animal from your guy. not only do I clean the car( not so often we have bus passes) but for 45years I have serviced them, and for the last 15years I,ve cut my own hair. My wife thinks I,m nuts, She is kept busy with a couple of autistic grand kids, and when I offer to cut down her washing by changing my gear once a fortnight, she went into orbit, no pleasing woman, Did you do the "OBEY"? have a nice day cheers scally.

Theolfa on October 23, 2009

It was 47 years ago, Scally, so I don't remember vowing to obey, but I generally do, although he doesn't issue orders, he asks me, rather than orders me. I cut my own hair and have done since I was 12, and I used to trim my father's, my brother's, fellow students, and my husband's, but now my eyesight is not so sharp so I quit. Methinks Mrs. Scally has a garder job looking after you than the autistic grandchildren! I'm off to the gym. Cheers! Theolfa
