Concordo con te; è orribile che nel 2008 ci siano ancora questi problemi fra oppressi e oppressori. Comunque mi ha fatto piacere vedere che un istituzione abbia preso una scelta schierandosi dalla parte di qualcuno, di solito non lo fanno mai.

Living in this corner of the world, I am watching the remarkable emergence of both China and India as superpowers, changing the power balances. The impact on Indonesia, another big nation though I fear it may be a fragile one, may be very significant. Two elements are critical: the demand for resources especially food and energy is directing current strategic policies; and the differences in philosophy between India, Indonesia, China and America/Europe will make dialogue and understanding difficult at times.
I suspect that this century will see the shift of strategic and political tension to this region more and more. I trust that we all have learnt some significant lessons from the European experience of last century!!
