I remember the Meckering quake well, Ebi....and the Adelaide quake and the Newcastle quake. And I experienced a few quakes when in Rabaul PNG (we call them gurias there), Christchurch NZ and Sia'atoutai Tonga. The crust is both flexible and brittle!
